A great downtown Vegas history lesson, which included walking through several hotels/casinos along the length of the Fremont ‘canopy’ and ended in the Downtown Container Park. Recommendations for other Downtown places to visit, and reasonably priced places to eat and drink were also included.

Since July can be scorching hot (it hit 44°C during my tour!), Kelly made sure I stayed in the shade as much as possible — something I really appreciated.

At the end of the tour, he even gave me a list of recommended local restaurants, which was a nice touch. My only regret? Taking this tour on my last day in Las Vegas! I highly recommend doing this tour at the beginning of your trip — it’s a perfect way to get oriented and discover the best spots to explore later. Also Downtown is a fantastic area to stay in and budget friendly - There is great connectivity between Downtown and the current LA strip.
